DOUGLAS WELCH, IALD, LC
Doug founded Eos Lightmedia to meet the need for turnkey design solutions involving lighting, media, and interactive technologies. As principal designer, he oversees every project and maintains a high level of involvement from beginning to end.
The recipient of numerous International Illumination Design Awards, Doug has more than 25 years of experience specializing in architectural lighting design for museums, theatres, casinos, world fairs, theme parks, hospitality, commercial, retail, and live environment applications around the world.
As well, Doug has extensive experience managing consulting projects including feasibility studies; theatre and support facilities design; systems design and specification; cost estimates; and co-ordination with architects and acoustic, mechanical, structural, and electrical engineers.
Director of Design
Shaun has designed, managed, and delivered high profile and complex design-build projects around the world. As creative leader and coordinator of strategic vision for live environment projects, Shaun has been able to interpret and deliver world-class creative work from renowned designers, architects, and engineers in a highly collaborative team setting. Shaun has also led myriad remote and on-site creative teams through unique digital, physical and experiential innovations.
A graduate of Canada’s National Theatre School, Shaun has designed lighting for professional theatre productions and is strong proponent of collaborative design that draws upon many mediums and backgrounds.
Director of Sales
Bobby has 25 years of lighting industry experience including manufacturing, distribution and sales and joins the Eos team to manage special projects and sales. Bobby utilizes his wealth of knowledge to bring projects through the Design and Budget phase to Procurement and Installation, while maintaining a smooth experience for all parties.
Bobby also has extensive experience working in the museum and themed attraction markets and collaborates extensively with some of the world’s best exhibit designers and manufactures. His strong relationships with his clients ensure that the lines of communication remain open at all times.
Design and Creative
In coordinating project management for the Eos team, Steve leverages his diverse technical and creative background. As an avid architectural, editorial and commercial photographer, as well as 3D modeler, Steve lends his creative expertise to the design process while focusing on the smooth implementation of projects.
Steve’s professional management experience in industrial and residential construction gives clients peace of mind that their projects will be completed on time and on budget. An advocate of efficient design and implementation, Steve’s expertise rounds out the design team with a strong project management presence.
Design and Creative
Sean works with exhibit and building designers, designing and coordinating lighting systems layouts and ensuring the client’s space receives the appropriate levels of light to create the desired atmosphere. Sean uses his strong background in the programming of lighting elements to ensure clients’ ideas are interpreted and implemented correctly.
Sean received an IESNA Outstanding Achievement award as well as the Edwin F Guth Memorial Award for his contribution to the Interior Lighting Design of the Museo Del Acero project in Monterrey, Mexico. With his prolific understanding of AutoCAD and Vectorworks, Sean welcomes design challenges, seeing them as opportunities to create unique solutions.
